The reminders icons tell you if a patient has reminders and whether reminders have been evaluated or are due. A quick reminder of the meanings of the icons can be found on the Available Reminders dialog by clicking View. Click an icon below for an explanation:
·
Due
: This
icon appears either on the Reminders button or in the tree view. The patient
meets all the conditions for the reminder and the appropriate amount of
time has elapsed. For example, the patient might be a 50-year-old male
who has not had a prostate exam in 2 years.
·
Applicable:
This icon appears
either on the Reminders button or in the tree view. The patient meets
all the conditions for the reminder, but the appropriate time has not
elapsed. For example, a flu shot is given once a year, but it not been
a year yet. Perhaps although a full year has not elapsed, the patient
can still receive a flu shot at this visit.
·
Other:
Reminders are
placed in the parameter that were not evaluated for the selected patient,
but that may be useful to the provider or may be especially important.
For example, although not part of the normal routine, a particular education
topic might be very useful and be placed in Other.
·
Question
Mark: A
question mark on the Reminders button indicated that the reminders have
not yet been evaluated. This is because the CPRS GUI can now be set to
open to a tab other than the cover sheet. Click the Reminders button or
the Reminders drawer on the Notes tab to evaluate the reminders.
·
Grayed-out
Alarm Clock: This
icon appears on the reminders button only. This icon indicates that there
are no due nor applicable reminders, nor are there any reminder categories
available.
·
Dialogs
over Icons: These
icons appear in the Reminders tree view. The small dialog icon over the
clock or question mark shows that this reminder has a dialog associated
with it.
·
Checked
Dialogs over Icons: These icons appear in the Reminders
tree view. The red check mark over the dialog indicates that the reminder
has been processed. When the reminders are reevaluated, the check mark
will be removed.
